How To Make banana nut cake
-
Step 1Cream sugar, butter, eggs and flavoring until fluffy and smooth. Sift together flour, salt and soda; add to dry mixture, alternating with buttermilk. Stir in bananas and chopped nuts.
-
Step 2Pour into a greased 9 inch square pan (I use a 9 x 9 x 2). Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
-
Step 3In a small saucepan, combine all ingredients. Boil until slightly thickened. You can also add chopped nuts to the icing, if desired. Spread on cooled cake.
