banana nut cake

I only use self rising flour, but I listed this one to be able to use with All purpose. This cake is very moist and good. I do some times make a banana nut icing for it, and some times bake in 3 round pans, stack and Ice.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup crisco shortening
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 - large eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon bakeing powder
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 - 4 - over ripe bananas mashed well
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
How To Make banana nut cake

Step 1Pre heat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Spray 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray.

Step 3Mix all ingredients except pecans well. Stir in pecans last

Step 4Pour into cake pan and bake for 30 35 minutes. Cake is very moist, if tooth pick used to test, may have small amount of cake on tooth pick. Do not over bake.
