Ingredients
- THE CAKE
- 4 - tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups ripe mashed bananas (3 to 4 bananas depending on the size)
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- THE FROSTING
- 4 - tablespoons butter
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
How To Make banana lovers cake

Step 1Grease and flour a 9 x 13 cake pan.

Step 2Using a large bowl and electric beaters, beat sugar, butter, sour cream, and eggs until creamy. Beat in mashed bananas and vanilla extract.

Step 3Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix well, and pour into the prepared baking pan.

Step 4Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 35 minutes. Every oven is different, so time may vary. Cake is done when an inserted toothpick comes out clean.

Step 5Cool cake completely. When the cake is cool prepare the frosting.

Step 7In a small pan over medium heat melt the butter and stir in the brown sugar and milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low and cook for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and pour into a large bowl. Let cool for 15 minutes.

Step 8Then add powdered sugar and vanilla to the bowl and beat with electric beaters until smooth. Spread the frosting over the cake.
