Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 2 cans (8 ounce) each, crushed pineapple
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 package (8 ounce) cream cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 1 package (4 serving) instant vanilla pudding
- 4 - bananas
- 1 - (16 ounce) tub frozen whipped topping, defrosted
- 1/2 jar (10 ounce) maraschino cherries, chopped
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup toasted,flaked coconut, optional
How To Make banana dessert cake

Step 1Bake cake, according to directions, in greased 9 X 13 in baking pan. Prick all over with fork when done, set aside on wired rack.

Step 2In a small saucepan, mix the pineapple and sugar and bring to a boil. Pour all over still warm cake. Cool cake completely.

Step 3Beat cream cheese with electric mixer until smooth. Slowly add the 2 cups of milk and instant pudding and mix well. Spread on top of cooled cake. Place in refrigerator for about 30 minutes until pudding is set.

Step 4Cover pudding layer with bananas. Cover bananas with whipped topping. Sprinkle cherries, pecans and coconut on top. Refrigerate for several hours before serving.
