- 1/4 teaspoon salt

- 3 tablespoons buttermilk

Step 2STIR IN CHOCOLATE CHIPS, BROWN SUGAR, WALNUTS OR PECANS AND CINNAMON IN A SMALL BOWL UNTIL WELL BLENDED; SET ASIDE.

Step 3SIFT ALL FLOUR, BAKING SODA, SALT & BAKING POWDER AND SET ASIDE.

Step 4USING AN ELECTRIC MIXER, BEAT SUGAR, BUTTER AND EGG IN MIXING BOWL UNTIL FLUFFY. BEAT IN MASHED BANANAS AND BUTTERMILK. ADD DRY INGREDIENTS AND BLEND WELL.

Step 5SPREAD HALF THE BATTER IN PREPARED BAKING PAN. SPRINKLE WITH HALF OF STREUSEL MIX. REPEAT WITH REMAINING BATTER.
