  • 2/3 c
  • 1-3/4 c

  • 2-1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 c
    canned milk
  • 1-1/2 c
    mashed ripe bananas
  • 3/4 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How to Make Banana Cake with Caramel Icing


  1. Measure the first 8 ingredients into mixing bowl. Beat for 2 minutes on low speed. Add bananas, nuts and vanilla and beat another 2 minutes.
  2. pour into three 9 inch cake pans that have been lined with waxed paper and greased with shortening and flour.
  3. bake at 350 for 25 minutes. When done, place on rack to cool 5 minutes before turning out of pans. When completely cool, frost with Caramel Frosting. I will post my recipe.
