This is the best ever moist banana cake I have ever made..It is a keeper!! it is really good plain or you can put cream cheese frosting.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas

How To Make banana cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat Oven at 350 for a 9x13 pan 25-30 minutes, bundt pan 45 min-55min (prep pans with flour and shortening)do not use glass pans..
  • Step 2
    Mix dry ingredients and set aside 2 cups of All purpose flour 1 tsp. Baking Soda 1/4 tsp. salt
  • Step 3
    Cream butter and sugar 1 stick at room temperature 1 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup of dark brown sugar
  • Step 4
    beat in eggs on at a time till incorporated into butter sugar mixture 2 Large Eggs at room temperature
  • Step 5
    add 1 tsp pure vanilla extract 1 cup of Sour cream beat well then add 1 cup of ripe mashed bananas 2 tsp. of white vinegar
  • Step 6
    Fold in dry ingredients into wet mixture..do not over mix..Pour into prepared baking pans.
  • Step 7
    You can serve this plain or you can make a cream cheese frosting.. 4 T. soft butter 4 ounces of cream cheese 1 tsp vanilla extract 1- 1 1/2 cups of powder sugar 1 T. milk (optional to thin it out add more) you can double the frosting recipe if you plan on baking it in a 9x13 pan or even 2 round 9 inch pans..
