This was a staple in our house when the bananas got too ripe. I dug it out recently and made it - OMG was so good and brought back several memories!! You will see there is no time for how long to bake-so start checking it at maybe 30 min or whatever is normal for cakes. Mom knew but must not have shared.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 - eggs
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2-3 - mashed ripe bananas
How To Make banana cake

Step 1Mix all ingredients together - Bake in a 9 x 13" pan that has been greased and floured....350 degrees.
