  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, softened
  • 2
    mashed banana 3/4 cup
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda

  • 2 Tbsp
    butter softened
  • 1/4 c
    heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla bean paste or extract
  • 1 1/4 c
    confectioners' sugar

How to Make Banana Cake


  1. Pre-heat oven to 375
  2. Cream sugar,sour cream egg and 2 tablespoons softened butter.
  3. Add mashed bananas and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
  4. Add flour salt and baking soda;mix well.
  5. Pour into greased 8x8 pan.Bake at 375 for 20-25 min. until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool completely before frosting.
  7. Frosting: Cream butter and confectioners sugar together until smooth. Slowly add the heavy cream;stir until smooth. Stir in the vanilla bean paste or extract until fully incorporated. Spread on cake.
