banana bars
I enjoy finding a bar recipe that calls for a jelly roll size pan. I swear the kids sense when I am baking and find their way home to sample the goods and take some home with them. I am NOT complaining! I find it the ultimate compliment!

- BARS
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2-3 - bananas, mashed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
- 1 - 3 oz packages cream cheese
- 3/4 stick margarine
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups powdered sugar
How To Make banana bars

Step 1Bars: Cream margarine, sugar. Add eggs until light. Add mashed bananas and vanilla. Add flour and baking soda.

Step 2Spread into sprayed jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cool. Frost with cream cheese frosting.

Step 3FROSTING: Cream together cream cheese and margarine. Add milk and vanilla. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix until smooth. Spread on cooled bars.
