Baked Devil's Float

Ingredients

1 cflour

1/2 ccocoa powder, divided

1 1/4 csugar

2 tspbaking powder

1 pinchsalt

1/2 cmilk
-
3 Tbspbutter, melted

1 1/2 tspgood vanilla extract

1/2 cpacked brown sugar, light

1 1/4 cwater, boiling

·whipping cream, whipped
-
1/2 cwalnuts chopped (optional)
How to Make Baked Devil's Float
- Heat oven to 350 deg. Combine and stir together flour, 3/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa, baking powder and salt. Stir in milk, melted butter, walnuts and vanilla, mix well and pour into 9X9 baking pan.
- Mix together remaining 1/2 cup white sugar, brown sugar, and 1/4 cup cocoa. Sprinkle evenly over top of batter.
Pour boiling water over batter in pan. DO NOT STIR! - Bake 40-45 min until center is nearly set. Pudding forms under cake. Let stand 5 min and serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
