Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 4 tablespoons cream
  • 3 pounds sliced peaches
  • TOPPING INGREDIENTS
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar

How To Make bake and take peach coffee cake

  • Step 1
    Mix together flour, sugar, eggs, baking powder, butter and cream with hands to make a smooth dough.
  • Step 2
    If dough does not stick together, add 1-3 tablespoons more cream.
  • Step 3
    Put three quarters of the dough mixture into a greased 12x18 inch edged cookie sheet or jelly roll pan.
  • Step 4
    Roll with rolling pin or press with hands to cover entire pan including edges.
  • Step 5
    Cover dough with peaches and sprinkle with a little sugar.
  • Step 6
    To make topping, combine flour, butter and sugar into a crumb mixture.
  • Step 7
    Sprinkle over dough.
  • Step 8
    Roll rest of dough into strips and cover peaches with a lattice top.
  • Step 9
    Bake at 350 for 40-50 minutes.
