I was with a friend at a bed and breakfast in Vermont last year and the gentleman that owned the hotel served this with our tea when we arrived. It was so delicious I asked him for the recipe and he emailed it to me.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 2 cups peeled and grated granny smith apples
- dash cinnamon
- 1 cup raisins,plumped in warm water--drain and cool
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts---toasted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
How To Make autumn apple loaf

Step 1Oven at 350 degrees. grease a 9x5x3 bread pan. Mix dry ingreds. in small bowl. In large bowl beat the butter,sugar and 1 of the eggs til smooth.Add the second egg and beat well. Stir in vanilla and cinnamon. Stir in apples, raisins and nuts. Put dry ingreds into wet ingreds. until just moistened. bake 50-60 mins. or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let stand 10 mins. and remove from pan and cool on rack. ENJOY!!!
