This is a tried and true family favorite recipe from my friend Wanda.Some of the family members prefer for the cake to fall.

Ingredients
- 3 cups sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 3 sticks butter
- 6 - eggs
- 1-1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
How To Make aunt ernice's pound cake

Step 1Cream butter and sugar until fluffy and light.

Step 2Beat in eggs one at a time.

Step 3Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl, then add 1/4 of dry ingred. to sugar/butter/egg mixture; mix well. Continue adding dry ingred. in fourths.

Step 4Add milk and mix well at medium speed, then stir in vanilla.

Step 5Grease and flour a large TUBE pan. Pour batter in slowly. Bake at 325 degrees for about one hour.
