Cakes of all kinds are a tried and true dessert for many of our family gatherings. This one is sure to be a hit at your next gathering. It' delicious creamy layers has something to satisfy everyone. It's origin is from a bakery in Chicago and is named after the atom bomb (a time when everything was being named after the bomb). You can find me elsewhere too. Ingredients
- 1 - layer banana or yellow cake (your favorite recipe)
- 1 - layer chocolate cake (your favorite recipe)
- 1 - layer white cake (your favorite recipe)
- 1 to 2 - fresh bananas, sliced
- 1 pint fresh strawberries, sliced (or cherries)
- 1 jar hot fudge sauce
- 1 package jell-o banana pudding (cooked and cooled) or instant
- 1 package jell-o vanilla pudding (cooked and cooled) or instant
- 2 packages cool whip or equivalent homemade stablized whipped cream
- TRIFLE
- 1 package jell-o chocolate pudding (cooked and cooled) or instant used in trifle only
How To Make atomic cake

Step 1Set the banana (or yellow) cake layer on a cake plate. Spread banana pudding over the top and then layer in sliced bananas. Top with a thin layer of whipcream.

Step 2Next place the white cake layer on top. Spread with vanilla pudding.Top with sliced strawberries and whip cream.

Step 3Finally, place the chocolate cake layer on top of that layer. Frost with fudge topping.

Step 4Frost entire cake with a generous amount of whipped cream. Sprinkle with grated chocolate. Refrigerate any leftovers.

Step 5If making a trifle, layer all in a trifle dish. Add a layer of chocolate pudding on top of the chocolate cake layer. You can also add a layer of carmel topping onto the banana layer. Can replace white cake with a layer of strawberry cake.
