apricot cake
(2 RATINGS)
I tried this cake at a work party and it was a big hit because of how delicious it was. I got the recipe from a friend. It is a moist cake, with a hint of apricot flavor. I just recently served it for my Super Bowl Party and I had so many compliments. So if you are looking for something new and GOOD, try this out and let me know what you think.

-
Step 1Combine all ingredients(except icing recipe) in mixing bowl and blend until mixed well. Pour into greased 13x9 sheet pan. Bake @ 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Remove from oven and poke tiny holes or slits in cake to allow icing to soak in.
-
Step 2FOR ICING: In a saucepan, combine the milk and baking soda first and then add the other ingredients and let come to a gentle boil. Do not carmelize. Remove from heat, and pour on top of cake about 5 minutes after cake has been out of the oven. Let cool, and serve.
