2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup sugar
2 - eggs
1 1/2 cups applesauce
1 teaspoon soda
1 cup raisins
1 cup dates
1 cup pecans chopped
2 tablespoons blackberry jam, seedless
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup shortening
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make applesauce cake

Step 1

sift flour,cinnamon,nutmeg and salt. in a separte bowl cream sugar and shortening thoroughly. Add eggs. Stir soda into applesauce. Combine flour mixture and remaining ingredients. Pour into tub pan.

Step 2

Bake 350 degrees-1 hour
