Whenever you came to visit my Gram from what she considered quite a distance.. there was always a cake waiting. My favorite was Applesauce Cake or Boiled Raisin Cake. This Applesauce Cake is so moist and has great flavor. Gram always said to make a cake the day before you wanted to serve it so that the flavors could develope.

  • Step 2
Sift together all dry ingredients. Add nuts, raisins, melted butter, and applesauce. Beat by hand until well blended.
