Ingredients

  • 2 c
    apples
  • 3 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    cooking oil
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1/4 c
    orange juice
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 3 c
    flour, sifted
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt

How to Make Apple Swirl Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Peel, core and chop apples into small pieces.
  2. Mix together with 3 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
  3. In large bowl, combine sugar and cooking oil; beat.
  4. Add eggs, orange juice and vanilla.
  5. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture.
  6. Beat until smooth, then pour one third batter into greased and floured 12 cup bundt pan alternating with one half apple mixture; repeat, ending with layer of batter on top.
  7. Bake at 325 degrees for 60 minutes or until cake tests done.
  8. Cool in pan 10 to 15 minutes; turn out on wire rack or serving plate to complete cooling.
  9. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
