apple streusel coffeecake
I got this recipe about 25 years ago from a Robin Hood recipe pamphlet. It works every time. Try cherry or blueberry pie filling instead of apple. I've tried them and they work great too.

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 medium egg, beaten
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 can apple pie filling (19 oz)
- 1/3 cup raisins
How To Make apple streusel coffeecake

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease and flour a 9" spring form pan or spray with cooking spray.

Step 2Combine flour and sugar in a large bowl. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Set aside 1/2 cup of mixture. To the remainder, add the baking powder and baking soda.

Step 3In a separate bowl, combine the egg and buttermilk. Add to dry ingredients. Stir until just moistened. Spread 2/3 of the batter over the bottom and up the side of the spring form pan.

Step 4Combine pie filling and raisins. Spoon over batter. Drop spoonfuls of remaining batter over filling. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.

Step 5Bake for 50 - 55 minutes.
