Being from Washington we grow many wonderful apples. This can be eaten warm with cream on top as a pudding or cold as a cake. Either way you choose, it is delicious!

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 1 - egg well beaten
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups finely chopped or grated apples
How To Make apple pudding

Step 1Cream sugar, shortening and egg.

Step 2Sift flour with soda, cinnamon and nutmeg and add to wet mixture. Mix well and add chopped apples.

Step 3Grease bottom of 8 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until toothpick test shows clean.

Step 4May be served warm with cream as a pudding, or let cool and eat plain as a cake.
