This is a recipe I got from church cookbook I got as a gift back in 1977. It is by far my favorite cookbook. This is just a wonderful festive Fall time dessert...the caramel sauce that you serve with the cake is outstanding.

Ingredients
- APPLE PUDDING CAKE
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 - eggs, well beaten
- 4 cups finley diced raw apples
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- CARAMEL SAUCE
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/2 cup cream or half & half
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
How To Make apple pudding cake with caramel sauce

Step 1Apple Pudding Cake: cream butter and sugar; add eggs, apples. Add dry ingredients. Bake in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve with caramel sauce below.

Step 2Caramel Sauce: Mix sugars and flour together in a saucepan. Add cream, butter and vanilla. Bring to a low Boil, and boil 2 minutes. Serve warm over Apple pudding cake.

Step 3The sauce keeps well..you can refrigerate, and warm sauce as needed.
