1 1/2 c
sugar

1 1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1 tsp
vanilla extract
2 1/4 c
all purpose flour
2 tsp
baking powder
1 tsp
salt

lemon zest, grated
1/3 c
milk
1/2 c
brown sugar ( for topping)
1 can of apple pie filling.

How to Make Apple Pie Filling Cake

Step-by-Step

  • 1Beat butter until soft, add sugar beat until light and fluffy. Then beat one egg at a time until combined.Add vanilla extract, lemon zest.
  • 2Add all your dry ingredients together in one third intervals adding your milk at the same time. Bake in a 9x13 pan grease and flour your pan. Pour your cake batter into pan. Add apple pie filling on top of cake batter and swirl it through.
  • 3Sprinkle brown sugar on top of the cake and bake. It gives a nice color!
    Bake in a preheated oven of 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
