Ingredients
- APPLE MIXTURE:
- 2 - 20 oz cans apple pie filling
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon, ground
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
- BATTER:
- 2 boxes yellow cake mix
- 2 sm boxes instant vanilla pudding mix, dry
- 4 x large eggs, beaten
- 8 oz packages sour cream, fat-free
- 1 stick butter, room temperature + extra for greasing crock pot
- 1 - 14 oz cans evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
- GARNISH:
- - cool whip free
How To Make apple pie coffee cake

Step 1Combine ingredients for apple mixture in a small bowl. Combine batter ingredients; mix well. Generously butter the sides & bottom of a 3 1/2 quart crock pot. Spread about 1/2 the apple mixture in the bottom of the pot. Spoon 1/2 the batter over the apple mixture. Spoon the remaining apple mixture over the batter, then cover with remaining batter. Cover & cook on HIGH for 2 - 2 1/2 hours. Turn heat off, leave cover ajar slightly & cool for about 15 minutes. Invert on a plate, retrieving any apples left in the bottom of the pot & placing on top of the cake. Serve with a dollop of cool whip free.
