I got a lot of compliments on this cake, I think everyone will love it. One of the nicest things about baking it is that it smells sooooo good and the scent lingers in the house all day! It is really a great cake and very very moist!!

    canola oil (or regular)
  • 2 c
  • 2
  • 3 c
  • 4 large
    apples, peeled and diced (i used grannysmith)
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 c
    pecans, chopped or walnuts
  • 1 c
    raisins (optional)
  • ·
    powdered sugar

How to Make Apple-Licious Autumn Cake


  1. Cream sugar, oil and eggs. Add seasonings, soda and vanilla. Add flour gradually, fold in apples, nuts and raisins.
  2. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. I just sprinkle with powdered sugar when cool.
