apple dapple cake

This cake has been made in my kitchen for decades. It is one of my family favorites. It gets better with age. A few days of soaking in the glaze brings more flavor. You can heat it up in the microwave...etc.. Add what nuts you like and I have made it with many different apples.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups plain flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 cups fresh yellow apples peeled, cored sliced
- 1 1/2 cups peacans, chopped
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 stick margarine
How To Make apple dapple cake

Step 1Heat oven to 325 degrees. Mix together oil, sugar, eggs, vanilla, flour, salt, soda apples, and pecans. Bake in a 9X13 inch pan for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Remove from oven and make glaze. Pour glaze over while cake is still hot.

Step 2For Glaze, combine in saucepan the brown sugar, milk and margarine. Boil (medium) for 3 minutes. Serve with Cool Whip...
