This was a recipe from my Mother-in-law's best friend. Always have success when making it.

Ingredients

- 4 eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup oil
- 3 1/4 cup flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 1 can apple pie filling
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon

How To Make apple coffee cake

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.

Step 2

Cream eggs, sugar and oil until smooth.
Step 3

Sift flour, baking powder and salt and beat into creamed mixture.
Step 4

Spread half the batter into pan.
Step 5

Spread apple pie filling over batter in pan.
Step 6

Cover with remaining batter.
Step 7

Combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on top.
Step 8

Bake for 1 hour. Cool in pan before removing.
Step 9

Can be frozen.
Step 10

Suggestion: Cherry or strawberry pie filling may be substituted for apple pie filling.
