I made this recently and my 21 year old son wants it all the time now. He told me he even had a dream about eating it.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2
    butter, melted
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 2 large
    apples,peeled,cored and chopped
  • ·
    for topping
  • 1/4 c
    packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp
    melted butter

How to Make Apple coffee cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F,coat a 9 inch round cake pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl beat flour,sugar,baking powder,salt,cinnamon and egg until well mixed and crumbly.Stir in apples,Then spread in prepared pan.
  3. In a small bowl combine topping ingredients,mix well and sprinkle over top of batter.
  4. Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.Serve warm or allow to cool.Great with a scoop of vanilla ice cream
