Ingredients

1/4 cup butter
1 - egg
2 teaspoons baking powder
2/3 cup milk
1 cup finely chopped cooking apples
3/4 cup sugar
1 3/4 cups cake flour
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

How To Make apple coffee cake

Step 1

Cream butter; gradually add 3/4 cup sugar, beating well. Add the egg, beating well.

Step 2

Sift together flour, baking powder, nutmeg and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with the milk, mixing well after addition.
Step 3

Stir in the vanilla. Pour batter into greased and floured 9-inch square baking pan.
Step 4

Combine apples, 1/3 cup sugar and cinnamon; mix well. Sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until tess done.
