Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 sticks soft butter
  • 3 - 8 oz pkgs softened cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup plus 2 tbsp sugar, divided
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 large grannysmith apples, peeled, cored and finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1 stick soft butter
  • 1/2 cup smuckers caramel topping

How To Make apple cheesecake bars w/ caramel sauce

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350. Spray a 9" x 13" pan w/ cooking spray. In medium bowl, combine 1 cup flour, 1 cup whole wheat flour and 1/2 cup brown sugar. W/ 2 forks, cut in 2 stcks butter until crumbly. Press mix into bottom of pan. Bake 15 mins.
  • Step 2
    In lg bowl, beat cream cheese, 3/4 cup sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time. Stir in vanilla. Pour mix over crust.
  • Step 3
    In another bowl, combineApples, cinnamon , 2 tbsp sugar and nutmeg. Sprinkle over cream cheese mix. In another bowl, combine remaining brown sugar, 1 cup flour, oats and butter, mix well. Sprinkle over apples. Bake 40 mins, or until set. Drizzle w/ caramel sauce and let cool. Cut into bars.
