Ingredients

2 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable shortening
2 - eggs
2 cups flour sifted
2 teaspoons soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 cups raw chopped apples peeled
1 cup chopped nuts

How To Make apple cake

Step 1

DO NOT USE ELECTRIC MIXER. Beat together sugar, shortening, and eggs. All the remaining ingredients.

Step 2

Pour into greased cake pan 13x9. Bake 60-70 minutes. Can frost the cake, or serve plain. Either way it is good.
