I was bored one night and my husband and I wanted something sweet but neither one of us felt like going to the store. So I went through my pantry and this apple cake was born.

Ingredients

1 can comstock apple pie filling
1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup margarine
1 - egg
1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make apple cake

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2

Grease a round cake pan and spread apples evenly across the bottom.
Step 3

Using an electric hand mixer combine all remaining ingrediants in a large mixing bowl and beat on low speed for 30 seconds. Scrape the side of bowl.
Step 4

Continue beating on high speed for 3 minutes making sure to scrape the sides occasionally.
Step 5

Pour evenly over apples.
Step 6

Bake for 40- 45 minutes or until a wooden pick is inserted and comes out clean.
