I love banana nut bread, but can not eat nuts too often.
Today since I had some banana's that had turned dark, and I had a couple of apples...I decided to combine the 2 and make a delishish bread~

ripe bananas
1 Tbsp
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1-1/2 c
all purpose flour
1/2 c
whole wheat flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
1/4 tsp
1/4 tsp
2 small

How to Make Apple Banana Bread


  • 1*I peeled and chopped my apples in a food processor...if you do not have one, just chop up with knife*
  • 2Preheat oven to 350'. Grease & flour a loaf pan.
  • 3Beat butter & sugar with mixer. Add eggs; beat until well blended.
  • 4In a separate small bowl; Combine bananas (mashing with a fork), milk, & vanilla.
  • 5In another bowl; Mix flours, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, & nutmeg.
  • 6Alternately blend banana mixture and flour mixture into the butter mixture...beat just until blended with each addition.
  • 7Add chopped apple. Stirring with a spoon.
  • 8Pour into prepared pan. Bake 1 hour. *or until done*
  • 9Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove and cool {ENJOY}
