amazin' raisin cake 1974

I used to make this wonderful spicy apple cake in the 70's but I had lost the recipe. For years I tried to remember the name of it and today is the day -- it was called "AMAZIN' RAISIN CAKE! I found it in three places on the net and the recipe was exactly the same in each one so this has got to be it. I remember the lovely chunks of apple in it and as I made it over and over I would add other ingredients such as shredded carrots, chunks of pineapple, bits of coconut, whatever, and it only got better. I will post the basic recipe and you can add to it as you like! Enjoy!
