Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 - eggs
- ICING:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
How To Make almond cake with almond icing

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In small sauce pan, add water and butter; bring to a boil.

Step 2In mixing bowl, add flour and sugar. Pour boiling water and butter mixture over flour and sugar. Mix well.

Step 3Add baking soda, extract, sour cream and eggs.

Step 4Pour into a 9x13 pan sprayed with baking spray. Bake 20-25 minutes until middle is set.

Step 5Let cool 20-30 minutes.

Step 6Icing: Bring butter and milk to a boil. Put powdered sugar and extract in a mixing bowl. Pour butter/milk mixture into bowl with sugar and extract and mix.

Step 7Pour over cake and let sit for 20 minutes before serving.
