This is my go-to cake when I want to be sure it works and is easy and the budget is low as it uses every day ingredients. It's also yummy and surprisingly light.

Ingredients
- 2 - eggs
- 4 ounces soft margarine
- 6 ounces sugar
- 8 ounces self raising flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- dash vanilla
How To Make all in together cake

Step 1Put all ingredients in basin and beat for 2 minutes.

Step 2Cook in greased and floured tins in a moderate (185 degrees Celsius) for 30-35 minutes.

Step 3Variations: Chocolate - add 4 Tablespoons of Cocoa, & 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda & extra milk. Coffee - Omit 1 Tablespoon milk, and add 1 Tablespoon coffee essence. Orange - Omit 2 Tablespoons Milk, add 2 Tablespoons of Orange juice and 1 level Dessertspoon grated Orange rind.

Step 4When cooked and cooled, decorate with your favourite icing or frosting.
