This was my grandmother's recipe. She's been gone for nearly 17 years and I want to make sure that her recipes live on.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter flavor shortening
  • 6 ounces 7-up
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 5 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract

How To Make 7-up cake

  • Step 1
    Cream together sugar, butter & solid shortening.
  • Step 2
    To this, add 1 egg at a time and beat well after each.
  • Step 3
    Add flour alternately with 7-Up.
  • Step 4
    Add vanilla extract and lemon extract.
  • Step 5
    Pour into a greased & floured bundt pan & bake at 350 degrees for 1 hr 15 min.
