Ingredients

- 4 tablespoons flour
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons baking cocoa
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
- a small splash of vanilla essence
- 1 coffee mug
- 3 tablespoons oil

How To Make 5 minute chocolate mug cake

Step 1

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well

Step 2

Add the egg and mix thoroughly
Step 3

Pour in the milk and oil and mix well
Step 4

Add the chocolate chips ( if using) and your splash of vanilla essence and mix again
Step 5

Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will ride over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Step 6

Allow to cool a little, tip out onto plate if desired. ( You can top the cake with some Powdered Sugar for looks)
Step 7

EAT! ( this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous)
