i love candy bars-every kind! I love to bake, so why not combine the two?!

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    butter, unsalted softened
  • 4
    large eggs
  • 1 box
    brownie mix, regular chocolate or fudge
  • 4 1/2 c
    shredded coconut
  • 3 1/3 c
    sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 c
    pecans, in pieces

How to Make Almost Candy Bars

Step-by-Step

  1. combine butter and eggs in mixer bowl with a paddle attachment. mix on low speed for 1 minute
  2. add the brownie mix. mix on low speed for 1 minute. stop and scrape the bowl then mix for 1 more minute.
  3. press the dough evenly into a greased or parchment lined full sheet pan.
  4. spread the chocolate chips, nuts and coconut evenly over the top of the dough.
  5. drizzle the sweetened condensed milk over the sheet pan
  6. bake at 350 degrees farenheit for 30-35 minutes.
  7. cut into bars when almost completely cooled.
