¾ cup / 200ml /sunflower or canola oil

¾ cup / 225g brown sugar

125 ml / ½ cup golden syrup / maple syrup, (( optional ) SEE NOTE 1)

½ cup raisins, (( optional ))

⅓ cup / 80g butter (softened)

½ cup / 120g full fat cream cheese or creamed cottage cheese
