Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup corn syrup, light
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make white mountain frosting

  • Step 1
In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup and water, stir. Bring to a rolling boil-DO NOT STIR. Using a candy thermometer boil until this mixture reaches 242. Do not cool.
  • Step 2
While the mixture is boiling, separate your eggs, discarding the yolks or save to use them for something else. In a large mixing bowl, using the whip attachment, beat your egg whites until you have stiff peaks that form.
  • Step 3
While the mixer is beating on medium speed, pour the hot syrup in a thin stream into the beaten egg whites. Add the vanilla and beat on high until stiff peaks form, Frost cake. By the way, you can put this on a warm cake.
