This is Dad's favorite frosting and is usually on a yellow cake. He calls this his birthday cake.

Frosts one cake
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup corn syrup, light
- 3 tablespoons water
- 3 large egg whites
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
How To Make white mountain frosting

Step 1In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup and water, stir. Bring to a rolling boil-DO NOT STIR. Using a candy thermometer boil until this mixture reaches 242. Do not cool.

Step 2While the mixture is boiling, separate your eggs, discarding the yolks or save to use them for something else. In a large mixing bowl, using the whip attachment, beat your egg whites until you have stiff peaks that form.

Step 3While the mixer is beating on medium speed, pour the hot syrup in a thin stream into the beaten egg whites. Add the vanilla and beat on high until stiff peaks form, Frost cake. By the way, you can put this on a warm cake.
