1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1 scallion, very finely chopped
2 slices ginger, finely minced
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sweet rice flour (or cornstarch)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon five-spice powder
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup beer (of your choice)
