Onion rings served with barbecue sauce, what an excellent combination

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Onions (red or yellow, cut into 1/8" rings)
  • Seasoned Flour (recipe follows)
  • Hot oil in fryer
  • Seasoned Flour:
  • 3 C Flour
  • 2 Tbs Salt
  • 2 Tbs Sugar
  • 2 Tbs Brown sugar
  • 2 Tbs Chili powder
  • 2 Tbs Ground cumin
  • 2 Tbs Ground black pepper
  • 4 Tbs Paprika

How To Make crispy barbecue onion rings

  • Step 1
    Mix all dry ingredients together. Toss onion slices in seasoned flour, separating rings. Deep fry in 365 F oil until crispy and dark brown. Drain well. Presentation: Serve with steak, beans and barbecue sauce.
