1 cup chopped yellow onions

1/2 cup chopped green onions

Pinch cayenne
1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme leaves
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup dry white wine
1 quart oysters, picked over for shells, liquid drained and reserved
3 cups milk
1/2 cup chopped parsley leaves
1/2 cup heavy cream
Hot sliced French bread, accompaniment
