Creamy Maple-Bacon Butternut Squash Soup

INGREDIENTS
200 g (About 7 oz ) bacon, sliced
2 kg (About 4 lbs ) butternut squash, peeled, seeded, and chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
150 ml (About 5/8 cup ) maple syrup (preferably amber syrup for its rich flavour)
7 g (1 tbsp ) five-spice powder
Salt, to taste
1 onion, peeled and chopped
60 g (About 1/4 cup ) butter
1 L (4 cups ) NAPSI-certified maple water
