Ingredients For creamed mushrooms

  • 1 lb. med. sized mushrooms (wiped clean and sliced 1/4" thick, include stem)
  • 1/4 C. butter (or margarine)
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 1/4 C. milk
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • pinch white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

How To Make creamed mushrooms

  • 1
    Stir fry mushrooms in butter in a large skillet over moderately high heat 2-3 minutes, or until golden. Blend flour with milk until smooth, then slowly stir into mushrooms. Reduce heat to low and cook and stir until thickened. Mix in salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce and serve.
