½ cup butter (1 sticks), melted

½ cup + 2 tbsp sugar
•
2 eggs, beaten
•
1 cup buttermilk (I add 1 tbsp vinegar to 1 cup milk and let sit for 5 min to make my own)

½ tsp baking soda
•
1 cups fine ground cornmeal
•
1 cups all-purpose organic flour
•
½ tsp salt
•
MAPLE BACON BUTTER:
•
½ cup salted butter (1 stick), slightly softened
•
¼ maple syrup
•
3 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
