INGREDIENTS

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup walnuts, toasted (I used 1 1/4 cups toasted almond meal)

3/4 cup granulated sugar
•
1/4 tsp kosher salt
•
2 tsp fresh, finely ground medium-roast (not espresso) coffee + whole coffee beans for pressing into the unbaked cookies
•
1 3/4 sticks unsalted butter, softened slightly (a little colder than room temperature)
•
4 tsp brandy (I used Kahlua; brewed coffee, water, or milk would work too)
•
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
