2/3 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
1 can (1 1/3 cups) flaked coconut
1 can (16 ounces) peach slices, drained
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour (sift before measuring)
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup shortening
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
