INGREDIENTS
4 large eggs
4 large egg yolks
2/3 cup whole milk
2/3 cup white granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon table salt
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Tart Crusts Makes 12 small tart shells or 1 large tart crust
1¼ cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white granulated sugar
6 tablespoons butter (chilled)
¼ cup vegetable shortening
2–3 tablespoons hot water, or as needed
